Cardinals Sign Four of Their Draftees to Contracts, Paving the Way for a Winning 2023 Season

The Cardinals have signed four of their draftees to contracts, including fifth-round linebacker Xavier Thomas, fifth-round offensive tackle Christian Jones, sixth-round receiver Tejhaun Palmer, and seventh-round cornerback Jaden Davis. With these signings, there are now eight draftees left unsigned.

Xavier Thomas is a standout player who has already made an impact on the field. As the No. 3 prospect in the 2018 class, he had an impressive freshman year at Clemson where he finished as an All-American. In 2023, he recorded 25 tackles, four tackles for loss, and three sacks.

Christian Jones is another versatile player who will fit in well with the Cardinals’ offense. He was the second offensive lineman drafted by the team and has experience playing both left and right guard positions.

Tejhaun Palmer is a valuable addition to the Cardinals’ receiving group which already includes Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson, Greg Dortch, and veteran Chris Moore. He is known for his speed and agility on the field and will bring a new level of excitement to the offense.

Jaden Davis is a talented cornerback who has experience playing outside, in the slot, and at safety. He had a productive season with 42 tackles, four pass deflections, and two forced fumbles. With his solid play on defense, he will be a valuable asset to the team’s secondary unit.
