Greece’s Future: The Smart City Revolution: Ellinikon City

Ellinikon City is set to transform Greece’s waste, water, and energy management by integrating modern technology. The project, which has faced delays in the past, is now back on track to refurbish an unused airport near Athens and turn it into Europe’s largest smart city.

It is expected to increase Greece’s national GDP by 2.5% and create approximately 80,000 new jobs.
