UT Health San Antonio’s James Bynum and AI collaboration aim to revolutionize trauma care decision-making

James Bynum, PhD, a professor and vice chair of research in the department of surgery at UT Health San Antonio, is also the executive director of the Trauma Research and Combat Casualty Care Collaborative (TRC4). He has shown support for a collaboration with researchers at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and The University of Texas at Tyler (UT Tyler) in the development and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance trauma care decision-making among clinicians. The goal is to improve the quality of care provided to patients in need of trauma treatment.
