Expert panel brings diverse perspectives to snow sports human rights seminar

During the first session of the event, invited experts such as Adam Hall and Mathilde Grenet joined FIS specialists to lead discussions. The team of FIS specialists included individuals like Alexandra Blum, Andrea Rinaldi, Sandra Spitz, and Dimitrije Lazarovski. Cornelia Blank, FIS Education Project Manager, and Daniela Lux from UMIT Tirol also shared their insights with the participants. In addition to these experts, David Grevemberg from the Centre for Sport and Human Rights and Gabriela Mueller Mendoza, a specialist in Diversity and Inclusion in sports, were present.

The event was organized in response to a survey conducted by FIS with NSAs that highlighted the need to address human rights issues in snow sports. The seminar held during the Spring Meetings aimed to raise awareness, exchange ideas, and foster collaboration across all snow sports disciplines. The collaboration across various FIS departments was evident through the participation of individuals like Fiona Stevens, Michel Vion, and Susanna Sieff.
