Colts Sign First-Round Draftees and Undrafted Free Agents Ahead of Training Camp

On Thursday, the Colts announced that they had signed five of their draftees. These players include Laiatu Latu, a first-round defensive end, Jaylon Carlies, a fifth-round linebacker, Jaylin Simpson, a fifth-round cornerback, Micah Abraham, a sixth-round cornerback, and Jonah Laulu, a seventh-round defensive tackle. With these signings, these players are now under contract with the team.

Jonah Laulu was the 15th overall selection in the draft and had a successful college career at UCLA (2022-23) and Washington (2019-21). During his time in college, he amassed an impressive record of 101 tackles, 35.5 tackles for loss, 24 sacks, five forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, six passes defensed, and two interceptions.

In addition to the draftees, the Colts also signed seven undrafted free agents. These players include quarterback/wide receiver Jason Bean, running back Trent Pennix, kicker Spencer Shrader
