Washington & Lee University Hosts Innovative Entrepreneurship Showcase, Highlighting Students’ Ingenuity and Talent

The Creative Showcase at Washington and Lee University’s Connolly Center for Entrepreneurship is set to take place on April 4 from 5-8 p.m. This event will be held in the Houston H. Harte Center for Teaching and Learning in Leyburn Library and is open to all for free. The showcase aims to bring together academic theory with entrepreneurial practice, providing a platform for W&L students to showcase their ability to innovate and bring ideas to life.

Anushka Daunt, assistant professor of business administration, emphasizes the importance of this showcase for students. “This collaborative effort allows students to gain real-world experience and navigate the dynamics of innovative practices,” she says. “It provides them with practical experience in presenting their work professionally, similar to what they would do in a business setting.”

Attendees can expect to see a wide range of innovations on display at the Creative Showcase, including new applications for social media usage, cutting-edge medical devices, consumable goods for daily use, and engaging board games. These projects are interdisciplinary in nature, incorporating contributions from various academic departments to showcase the diverse talents of W&L students. The showcase aims to highlight the ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit of the university’s students.
