Unlocking the Power of Strategic Communication in Public Health: The Western Pacific Region’s Guide to Effective C4H Strategies

In today’s digital age, strategic communication has become increasingly important in the field of public health. This involves utilizing expertise, skills, and resources to plan, execute, and assess interventions that persuade governments to adopt policies that improve the well-being of individuals, empower healthcare professionals to provide optimal care, and influence individuals to take steps to safeguard and better their own health as well as that of their families and communities.

To aid Member States in adopting this approach, the Regional Action Framework on Communication for Health (C4H) has been designed. This framework provides guidance to the World Health Organization (WHO) and Member States on how to effectively use C4H in order to achieve common public health objectives in the Western Pacific region. With this resource at their disposal, Member States can better utilize C4H strategies to improve public health outcomes in their respective countries.
