Union-Endicott High School’s Technology Department Earns Prestigious Award for Excellence in Engineering Education

Union-Endicott High School’s technology department has been awarded the New York State Technology Education & Engineering Association Program of Excellence Award. The Southern Tier Technology & Engineering Educators Association nominated the teachers, Corey Munn, Mike Wichowski, and Tom Palazzo who accepted the award at the NYSTEA annual conference. The department offers several programs such as welding, automotive, flight simulation, and carpentry, and has experienced significant growth in enrollment over the past few years.

Engineering Teacher Corey Munn expressed his gratitude for the award stating that it is an honor to be recognized by his peers for the hard work put into the program. The Program of Excellence Award is one of the highest honors given by the New York State Technology & Engineering Educators Association. As a result of this recognition, Union-Endicott High School will now represent New York State for the International Technology Educators & Engineering Association’s Program of Excellence Award.

The department’s commitment to providing high-quality technology education has been recognized and celebrated through this award. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed and they are proud to receive this prestigious recognition.
