Thousands Protest Against Israel in Jordan Amman Demonstration Calls for Action Against Israeli Aggression

Thousands of Jordanians have been participating in anti-Israeli demonstrations near the Israeli Embassy in Amman for three consecutive evenings. Eyewitnesses reported that the police used batons to disperse protesters who attempted to storm the embassy on March 28.

The protesters are calling for practical steps from the Jordanian government to halt Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. They want all agreements with Israel, including the peace treaty (Wadi Arba agreement) and the gas agreement, to be cancelled. Additionally, they are requesting a ban on land delivery of goods from Persian Gulf countries through Jordan and a prohibition on vegetable exports.

On March 26, an anti-Israeli demonstration occurred in Aqaba where some participants carried portraits of Yahya Sinouar and Hamas flags. The protests reflect growing tensions and calls for action against Israeli policies in the region. The situation remains volatile as both protesters and authorities navigate the complex political landscape.
