Revolutionizing Autonomous Driving: Tesla’s One-Month Trial of Full Self-Driving Technology

Tesla is currently offering a one-month trial of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology to both new and existing customers in the United States, as announced by CEO Elon Musk and the company’s website. In addition to this offer, Tesla staff have been required to give demonstrations of FSD to new buyers and owners of serviced vehicles, according to emails verified by a Tesla source.

The move comes as Tesla faces pressure on sales and margins due to price competition and softening demand. Despite years of promises from Musk regarding achieving full autonomy, Tesla’s driver assistant software is being closely scrutinized for safety and marketing compliance by regulatory agencies.

According to Musk’s post on social media platform X, all US cars capable of FSD will be enabled for a one-month trial this week. This trial is being offered on new sales of Tesla models X, S, and Y. The recall of nearly all 2 million vehicles on US roads in December has also reflected the company’s commitment to addressing safety concerns and improving the performance of its self-driving systems.
