On Friday at 7 p.m. EDT, the Los Angeles Lakers (41-32, ninth in the Western Conference) will face off against the Indiana Pacers (41-33, sixth in the Eastern Conference) in Indianapolis. The Lakers are looking to extend their five-game win streak with a victory over the Pacers.

The Pacers have been impressive at home with a 21-15 record and boast the NBA’s top-scoring offense, averaging 122.9 points per game while shooting an impressive 50.5% from the field. Meanwhile, the Lakers have struggled on the road with a 14-20 record and are only winning games decided by fewer than 10 points by a slim margin of 6-4 in their last 10 contests.

Indiana’s shooting percentage of 50.5% is higher by just over 3 percentage points than what the Lakers have allowed their opponents to shoot (47.3%). The Pacers also average more made three-point shots per game (11.8) than what the Lakers give up (9 more makes).

This is only the second time these two teams will meet this season, with the Lakers emerging victorious in their last encounter with a score of 150-145 on March 25th. Anthony Davis led his team with an impressive performance of 36 points, while Pascal Siakam led Indiana with an equally impressive output of 36 points as well.

In this matchup, there are several key players to watch including Tyrese Haliburton for Indiana who has been averaging an outstanding performance of 20.3 points and dishing out an astounding number of assists per game (11), and Austin Reaves for Los Angeles who has been shooting at a remarkable clip of 48.9% and scoring around an average of 16 points per game so far this season.
