From Syracuse to the Courthouse: The Case of Former Guard Brendan Paul’s Links to Diddy Combs’ Legal Troubles

In Miami, former Syracuse guard Brendan Paul was recently arrested on drug-related charges. According to Miami-Dade police records, he was arrested on felony charges for possession of suspected cocaine and marijuana candy. The arrest occurred as federal agents were raiding rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs’ properties in Los Angeles and Miami as part of an alleged sex trafficking investigation. Although Paul was released on bond, he is scheduled for a hearing in April.

Despite the coincidence of Paul’s arrest with the raid on Combs’ properties, the two events are not related. However, allegations have emerged linking Paul to Combs’ legal troubles. In a federal lawsuit filed in February, it was claimed that Paul worked as Combs’ “mule,” acquiring and distributing drugs and guns. Combs has denied these allegations, and Paul’s attorney has stated that they intend to address the issues in court rather than in the media.

Brendan Paul began his basketball career as a walk-on at Syracuse in 2018 before transferring to Division-II Fairmont State to finish his collegiate career. He played a total of 51 games over two seasons for Fairmont State. Despite his brief tenure at Syracuse, Paul’s name is now associated with Combs’ legal troubles due to the allegations against him.
