Breath of Fresh Air: Students Recognized for Clean Air Science Fair Projects

The Fresh Air Science Fair, a collaborative effort between Modine, Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District and United Way of Racine County, recently recognized fifth graders at Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine for their participation. The fair lasted almost two months and saw students form teams to work on projects related to clean air pollution concepts. Entries were judged based on the quality of research, data analysis and the creativity of their presentation.

On Wednesday, March 27th, an award assembly was held where the winners were announced and prizes awarded. Milwaukee Bucks mascot Bango and the trampoline dunking team, the Rim Rockers made a special appearance at the event. The first-place team members each received three tickets to the April 10 Bucks game against the Orlando Magic, transportation to and from the game as well as concession stand vouchers to use at Fiserv Forum during the game. Second and third-place teams were awarded Bucks merchandise.

Congratulations to all the winners of this year’s fair for their hard work and creative projects!
